Hyundai has unveiled its premium Ioniq 6 sedan in India and this is a showcase to gauge response for a possible India launch in the future. The Ioniq 6 is a bigger brother of the Ioniq 5 which has been launched in India along with being based on the same E-GMP platform.
The design of the car is very aerodynamic and sporty along with the shape being range efficient. The car has a low drag coefficient of 0.22 thanks to design details like a low nose, active air flaps, wheel gap reducers, elliptical wing-inspired spoiler with winglet, full underbody cover, deflectors and reduced wheel-arch gaps which means more range is taken out like this.

There are a lot of Parametric design details all over the car along with 18-20 inch wheels.
Like the Ioniq 5, it gets dual 12.3-inch screens along with a modular interior plus features like ambient lighting and more.
Interestingly the four-dot Interactive Pixel Lights on the steering wheel light up to indicate charging status or when using voice recognition as well.
Also, the front doors do not get any buttons as well along with a clean interior design.
The car uses sustainable materials including bio paint, recycled fishing net carpets, eco-process leather, bio PET fabric headliner and a lot more.
The premium EV supports both 400-V and 800-V charging infrastructures plus the battery pack on board is 77.4 kWh with single/dual motor configurations.
Other feature highlights include V2L, and connected car tech while being the first Hyundai to get an electric-Active Sound Design or e-ASD which simulates a driving sound on the inside. Amongst a lot of other features, the Ioniq 6 uses a digital key which can be synced with your smartphone.
This is an interesting unveil for India as it would slot above the Ioniq 5 if and when it comes to India.
