Auto Expo 2023 Highlights: Adishwar Auto Introduced Benelli Bikes, Launched Keeway Superbike

Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) on Wednesday introduced the Italian bicycle brand Benelli Bike in India and also launched Superbike Keeway SR250 at Auto Expo 2023.


Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), SR250 is the eighth product offering of the Hungarian brand in the Indian market.


It has classic design elements with modern-day features, making it a perfect Neo-retro offering for urban commuting.


Powered by a single-cylinder 4-stroke 223 cc engine, SR250 produces 16.08 HP of peak power.


Deliveries of SR250 will start in April 2023.

Auto Expo 2023 Highlights: Maruti Jimny Comes To India, See Pics

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Jimny 5-door in India. The Jimny has finally come to India after many years of waiting and would be sold via the Nexa sales outlets. The main highlight is the engine though since the Jimny has a 1.5l petrol which is also a mild hybrid for an electric boost while the numbers are 102 bhp and 130Nm. The gearbox options include a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Auto Expo 2023 Highlights: Atul Auto Forayed Into EV Space With Two Launches On Day 1

Three-wheeler maker Atul Auto on Wednesday announced its foray into the electric vehicle space by launching two models at the Auto Expo 2023.


Atul Greentech Private Ltd (AGPL), a subsidiary of Atul Auto, launched Mobili, a passenger vehicle, and cargo variant Energie.

Maruti Suzuki has launched its Baleno based crossover called Fronx in India. This expands the Baleno line-up in India and is an SUV version of this car. The styling is different and it has a crossover look with it. The raised ground clearance is also a useful addition.

On day 2 of the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki is set to Maruti Jimny SUV which will be a hard-core off-roader and the 5-door version has been tailor-made for the Indian market. The Jimny hence would be more spacious and still retain the hardcore off-road ability.


Another launch expected on day 2 by Maruti is Baleno Cross which would be a crossover based on the Baleno but will have an entirely new identity via new styling and cladding all around. It would be based on the Baleno but would have more ground clearance and fit in below the Brezza. Expect other changes like inclusion of a turbo petrol unit as well on the Baleno Cross.

Auto Expo 2023 LIVE Updates: Hyundai Ioniq 5 Launched On Day 1 In Presence Of Shah Rukh Khan

Hyundai Motor India launched its all-electric Ioniq 5 on the day of Auto Expo 2023 at an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 500 customers in the presence of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan


The model is based on the company's dedicated battery electric vehicle platform E-GMP.


"Ioniq 5 represents our shift towards future mobility with tenets that encapsulate intelligent technology, innovation and sustainability," Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO Unsoo Kim said.


Ioniq 5 joins as the second model in Hyundai's all-electric vehicle segment as it already sells Kona Electric in the country.

Auto Expo 2023 LIVE Updates: Maruti Suzuki Reveals Concept 'eVX', To Hit Markets By 2025

Maruti Suzuki unveiled its concept electric SUV 'eVX' at the Auto Expo 2023 which is slated to hit the markets by 2025. A mid-size electric SUV, Concept eVX is designed and developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), Japan and will be powered by a 60 kWh battery pack offering 550 kilometres of driving range on a single charge. 


"We plan to bring it to market by 2025. At the Suzuki Group, addressing global warming is a priority," SMC Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki said at the expo while unveiling the product which is taking place at India Expo Mart in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida.

Auto Expo 2023 LIVE Updates: Electric Vehicles Hog Limelight On Day 1

The Auto Expo 2023 on its first day was heavily dominated by exhibits of electric vehicles by top brands with the likes of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Tata Motors and MG Motor showcasing their futuristic products, while also committing to invest in sustainable mobility. While Suzuki Motor Corporation opened the event with its concept electric SUV 'eVX', Hyundai Motor India launched its all-electric model Ioniq 5 at an introductory price of Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). 


The Ioniq 5 was launched for the first 500 customers in the presence of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. The model is based on the company's dedicated battery electric vehicle platform E-GMP. 


Kia also unveiled an all-electric SUV Concept Kia Concept EV9, said it plans to invest Rs 2,000 crore over the next four years to scale its presence in the country.


Tata Motors showcased over 20 products across its passenger and commercial vehicles portfolio.


The highlight of the company's showcase is the electric SUV Sierra, which is likely to hit the market in 2025, and the EV version of its mid-sized SUV Harrier that's likely to be commercially launched next year.

Auto Expo 2023 LIVE Updates: Unveils By MG Motors, Maruti To Look For On Day 2 Of Motorshow

As day 1 of the Auto Expo 2023 ended on a high note with exhibits by top brands, there is more to come from MG Motors and Maruti on day 2 as well. While Maruti revealed its Concept 'EVX', MG unveiled its MG4 Wednesday.

Auto Expo 2023 Day 2 Highlights: Hello and welcome to ABP Live for all the coverage from the Day 2 of the 2023 Auto Expo Motor Show being held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. On the first day of Auto Expo 2023 on Wednesday, the vehicle exhibitors, both global and domestic, in total launched and unveiled over 59 products at the India Expo Mart.


Electric vehicles hogged the limelight on the first day of India's flagship motor show Auto Expo 2023 with the likes of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Tata Motors and MG Motor showcasing their futuristic products.


Day 1 of the expo concluded with some top unveils by some of the leading brands with Maruti Suzuki unveiling its Concept EVX and Tata Motors showcasing its Tata Harrier EV, Tata Sierra EV and Tata Curvv petrol version. MG Motor India announced the next generation Hector SUV, available in five, six, and seven-seater configurations, and revealed the prices. The upgraded Next-Gen Hector's starting price is Rs 14.72 lakh. Hyundai Motor India launched another electric model, the 'Ioniq 5', which when fully charged will run up to 631 km. The EV is underpinned by the E-GMP platform that also underpins the Kia EV6, which is already on sale in India, while the Ioniq 5 also got Level 2 ADAS features.


Chinese electric carmaker BYD unveiled its luxury sedan 'BYD Seal' which will have a range of up to 700 kilometres on a single charge. The company plans to launch the model in India by the fourth quarter of 2023.


Luxury carmaker Lexus, a part of the Toyota group, unveiled its 5th generation RX sports utility vehicle in two trims -- the RX350h Luxury Hybrid and the RX500h F sport Performance.


Auto Expo 2023 Dates


Auto Expo 2023 began on January 11 and will continue on January 18. The first two days are not open to the public. The Auto Expo show opens on January 13, with the first day being reserved for business ticket holders, between 11 am and 7 pm. On January 14 and 15 timings for the Auto Expo would be from 11 am to 8 pm while from January 16 to 17 the event would start at 11 am and end at 7 pm. January 18 being the last day, the Auto Expo 2023 would wind up at 6 pm.


Auto Expo 2023 price for January 13 is set at Rs 750. Tickets are available online with weekend tickets priced at Rs 475 and weekday ones at Rs 350.
