The Q7 has always been the best Audi SUV along with one car that established this brand in India with the first gen. Now, with competition being quite high, Audi again has updated the latest model to compete with rivals. The new Q7 also surprisingly gets a very aggressive price when compared with competition plus some features/styling upgrades. The major upgrades to the new Q7 includes a new grille, wheels and other elements while the features have also been updated along with new interior trim.

Audi Q7 2024 Facelift: New Interior Colours

However, my first introduction to the Q7 was the silent V6 engine which now has a mild hybrid system too. Yes, the new V6 petrol is much more quiet and you can mistake it for an EV! The 335bhp and 500Nm torque make for effortless progress while the Q7 does not feel too big in traffic. Despite massive 20-inch wheels, even the ride is not firm and is silent with no cabin noise. It is only the sharp potholes that somehow filter in.

Compared to rivals, the Q7 feels more agile and easier to drive while power is in plenty. There is Quattro of course but the adaptive air suspension and Audi drive select with 7 driving modes is also a key highlight. The off-road mode helps and it is not as cumbersome to drive as other SUVs yet it is not too firm as well. Inside, the cabin does not see a large change but it feels a bit more plush with new interior colours.

Other highlights include the superb Bang & Olufsen Premium 3D Sound System with 19 speakers and 730 watts plus electrically foldable third row seats. However, I would have liked heated/cooled seats and a few more features but it gets most of the expected ones including four zone climate control, a massive panoramic sunroof etc. The rear seats are spacious though since this would also be used as a chauffeur driven SUV.

Audi Q7 2024 Facelift: Price Starts From Rs 88.6 Lakh

In terms of looks, the Q7 has moved away from the styling of the first gen but now it is more aggressive especially with the smart new 2D logo along with the new grille design. An Audi cannot be complete without trick headlamps and here you get the latest Matrix LEDs. Elsewhere there are 20-inch wheels too. Overall at Rs 88.6 lakh starting and to Rs 97 lakh, the new Q7 is much more competitively priced than rivals and that is its key selling point with Audi playing the pricing game very well. For the money, the new Q7 is a well rounded luxury SUV that is also good to drive on your own.
