New Delhi: Citroen has launched the updated C5 Aircross SUV in India with a price of Rs INR 36,67,000. Citroen now offers the C5 in a single variant called as Shine in dual tone. The C5 Aircross was the first model launched from Citroen in India and now the model gets an update which is also similar to the global new C5.


Some of the biggest changes to the new C5 include new styling including a new exterior with a redesigned front end which includes two LED DRLs being matched with the grille. There is also a new front bumper design, skid plate, and new air intake.

There is also a new design for the 18inch alloy wheels. The rear styling stays more or less the same but there are new LED tail lamps. Inside, there is a new 10inch touchscreen infotainment system along with the redesigned centre console, gear shifter, and drive mode buttons.


The seats at the back are more comfortable with additional padding while it continues to have three individually adjustable and reclining rear seats. Citroen also claims that the boot volume goes from 580 L to 1630 L.


Equipment levels remain generous including dual-zone climate control, a powered driver's seat, six airbags, a panoramic sunroof, and more. In terms of engine options, the C5 continues to have the 2.0l diesel which was present earlier as well as an 8-speed automatic. The new C5 Aircross will compete with the likes of the new Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Jeep Compass.

The new C5 Aircross would be sold via 20 La Maison Citroën phygital (physical/digital) showrooms in 19 cities, namely, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Nagpur, Vizag, Calicut, and Coimbatore.


Citroen sometime back launched the C3 hatchback in India and the C5 luxury SUV forms a two-model range.
