In Feng Shui, just like in Vastu, the significance of energy is highly valued. According to Feng Shui principles, every object in or around the house carries energy, which can be either positive or negative. Feng Shui suggests various elements that contribute to creating a peaceful and prosperous life. The term "Feng Shui" is a combination of two words, where "Feng" refers to air, and "Shui" refers to water. As per Feng Shui, arranging the home brings happiness and tranquility.
Arranging Home According to Feng Shui:
In Feng Shui, there are specific guidelines for the bedroom. Bedrooms are meant for sleeping and relaxation, and according to Feng Shui, exercise equipment, sewing kits, or items related to music should not be kept in the bedroom. Keeping such items in the bedroom is believed to bring negative energy. Additionally, statues or photos of deities are also not recommended in the bedroom.
In the living room, extra attention should be given when arranging furniture. The furniture should face the door, allowing a person sitting on the chair to see people entering and leaving. Chairs in the living room should always be placed against the wall. According to Feng Shui, the back of a person sitting on a sofa or chair should not be exposed to the air.
The kitchen holds a special place in the home. According to Feng Shui, any item that is not in use should not be kept in the kitchen. Broken or unused items should be removed from the kitchen. It is believed that the more clutter-free the kitchen is, the more prosperity enters the home.
If the bathroom and the wall behind your bed are the same, a mirror should be placed on the bathroom wall facing outward. After that, the bathroom should be painted in beautiful colours. This is said to create positive energy throughout the home.
