Vijayawada: The third installment of the YSR Netanna Nestham scheme will be made available to the handloom workers on Tuesday. AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the program at the Thadepalli camp office. Financial assistance to the handloom workers of Rs 24 thousand will be credited to their accounts. Under the Nethanna Nestham scheme, Rs 192 crore in the third tranche will be released by the government.


The government has so far provided Rs 72,000 each to eligible handloom workers. In the last two years, under the Nethanna Nestham scheme, nearly Rs. 400 crore financial assistance has been done in the first two tranches. The government has made it clear that Rs 576 crore will be provided to the beneficiaries as the third tranche amount accounts for Rs 576 crore. Those who are eligible and not named in the list can re-apply at the village ward secretariats.


AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy clarified that Rs 192.08 crore is being deposited in handloom workers' accounts under the third tranche financial assistance of 'YSR Netanna Nestam'. He said that in the future too, every handloom worker will be a boon to the family. It was revealed that those who are eligible and not named in the list can re-apply. CM Jagan said that another good program has been launched.

About 80,000 beneficiaries received Rs 192.08 crore, he said. For every eligible handloom worker, the government is providing Rs 24,000 financial assistance. The CM said he had seen difficulties of the handloom worked being faced during his state-wide yatra.


Already, Rs 48,000 has been provided to each family in the first two tranches. The latest third tranche of financial aid is being credited to eligible accounts. The event was formally inaugurated by CM Jagan. Including the third installment, each eligible weaver will get a benefit of Rs 72,000. In the two years since coming to power, the YSRCP government has provided Rs 383.99 crore to the weavers.
