Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Tirumala has cancelled "VIP Break Darshan" on October 24, 25 and November 8 in view of Deepavali Astanam, Solar and Lunar eclipses respectively. As Deepavali Asthanam will be held at Lord Venkateshwara's Tirumala temple on October 24, TTD has also removed the VIP Break Darshan slots online. Besides cancelling VIP Darshan, the TTD also said that no recommendation letters will be allowed on October 23. 


On a similar note, the temple will remain closed for almost 12 hours from 8 am to 7:30 pm on October 25 (Tuesday) following Solar Eclipse. Only Sarva Darshan pilgrims will be allowed for darshan after the re-opening of temple doors through VQC-II on these two days


After Solar Eclipse on October 25, the Lunar eclipse to occur on November 7 and the temple doors will remain closed from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm on November 8. As the temple is closed on both October 25 and November 8, the TTD said that VIP break darshans will be cancelled.

TTD has also cancelled Sri Venkateswara Alayala Nirnanam Trust (SRIVANI) and Rs 300 darshan tickets on October 25 and November 8 following Solar and Lunar eclipses.


As reported earlier, the paid rituals, including the 'Kalyanotsavam' conducted daily at the shrine, will not be done during the two days of approaching eclipses. TTD has also cancelled Unjal Seva, Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas on these two days.


All the privileged darshans, including senior citizens, physically handicapped, parents with infants, NRIs, defence personnel etc., also remains cancelled.


TTD has appealed to devotees from across the country and overseas to note the advisory issued on the occasion of Deepavali Asthana and on two eclipse days and occurring on October 24, 25 and November 8, respectively, and plan their pilgrimage accordingly to Tirumala to avoid inconvenience.
