The hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala will remain closed on Tuesday (November 8) for almost 12 hours due to the lunar eclipse. The TTD administration has declared that the hill temple will be closed for roughly 12 hours and that offering prayers and darshans will be halted.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) announced that the temple will be closed by 8.40 AM and will be re-opened at 07.20 PM after the completion of specific purificatory rituals post-eclipse.
The TTD has also cancelled all darshan forms, such as the VIP break, SriVani, 300 SED and SSD tokens, special darshans, and other Arjitha seva ceremonies performed inside the temple during the day. Only those who choose to have darshan of the Lord Venkateswara through sarva darshan queue lines will be permitted to do so after the temple reopens.

Earlier, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which manages the Tirumala shrine, revealed its assets. The world's richest Hindu temple owns assets worth over Rs 2.5 lakh crore, including 10.25 metric tonnes of gold. The assets of TTD, which govern the affairs of the ancient hill shrine, include land parcels, buildings, cash, and gold deposits given as offerings by the devotees.
The TTD declared the list of its assets, including gold deposits and fixed deposits, in a white paper. The temple body owns land parcels and buildings in different parts of the country.
Officials stated that TTD revenues are increasing thanks to the rise in cash and gold offerings made by devotees. Due to an increase in interest rates, the temple body is earning more on fixed deposits in the banks.
