TDP, Jana Sena Forging Alliances For Political Survival, Says Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

Addressing a public meeting in Bapatla, Reddy said that the TDP and the Jana Sena have no guts to contest all 175 seats independently but are trying to forge alliances for political survival.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday lashed out at the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party for their plans to reach poll pacts in a bid to topple the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government in the state. Addressing a public meeting at Nizampatnam in Bapatla district on Tuesday, Reddy said that the TDP and the Jana Sena have no guts to contest all 175 seats independently but are trying to forge alliances for political survival. TDP will not get even second place in the next elections, he said.

“Naidu always claims that he was a kingmaker in his heydays and that he had decided who should be the president and prime minister of the country in the past, but does not have the courage to go it alone in the elections,” charged Jagan Mohan.

The Chief Minister described JSP President Pawan Kalyan as a mere puppet in the hands of TDP President Chandrababu Naidu. He said the actor who was defeated in both the constituencies he contested in 2019 is now conducting stop-gap political meetings between his shooting schedules.

Reddy said that Naidu only knows about political alliances, backstabbing, conspiracies, and gimmicks, while his "foster son," Pawan Kalyan, dances to his tunes, repeating the septuagenarian's words, and is willing to make new political alliances.

He said the TDP and the Jana Sena Party have no political credibility at all as Naidu remembers BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities only at the time of elections, while Pawan Kalyan plays second fiddle to Naidu as part of their political match-fixing.

The Chief Minister claimed that Chandrababu Naidu has no concern even for those who died in stampedes at his public meetings held in narrow lanes. He further said that both Pawan Kalyan and Naidu have become jealous of the YSRCP government's welfare schemes.

He said the YSPCP government spent over Rs 2,10,000 crore in the last four years on welfare schemes and fulfilled 98 percent of its election promises.

Reddy reaffirmed his belief in the blessings of the people and stated that he had always stood with them. "I urge people to consider whether positive things have occurred while the YSRCP has been in power. Support me and stand with me as soldiers if you think that something good has happened," said the Chief Minister.
