Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone of major infrastructure development projects like oil, gas and connectivity sector worth Rs 15,233 crore in Visakhapatnam today. The Prime Minister launched nine projects in total from the Andhra University Engineering College grounds in virtual mode and unveiled a plaque, reported news agency ANI.


During the event PM Modi spoke about how his government is making efforts to tap the "infinite possibilities associated with Blue Economy" by developing ports.


"Today, the country is making efforts on a large scale to realise the infinite possibilities associated with Blue Economy... Through port-led development we have improved opportunities greatly in India’s blue economy, said the Prime Minister addressing a huge gathering, as reported by news agency ANI.


"The economic corridor that is being launched today, will improve multimodal connectivity to boost trade and manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh... With these new infrastructure development projects, the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh will now experience speedy growth," PM Modi added.






The PM also pointed that the world is going through a crisis but India is thriving ahead as the country is able to achieve new milestone in terms of development with interest of the common man in mind.


"Today when the world is going through a crisis, India is achieving new milestones in several sectors and scripting history. The world is witnessing our growth. All policies of the Govt have the welfare of the common man at their core," the Prime Minister said during the event, as reported by ANI.
