Guntur (AP): High tension prevailed in Amaravati after Janasena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan announced a meeting with people whose houses are set to be demolished by the administration for road widening project.
Following the call by Pawan Kalyan, a large number of police forces have been deployed to thwart the meeting. However, Pawan Kalyan who is a popular film actor has walked through the fences erected by cops along with supporters.
Pawan Kalyan has alleged that the YSRCP government headed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is targeting the villagers for giving their lands. Meanwhile, Jana Sena is also planning to hold formation day public meeting at the same village on March 14.
The demolition was stopped after the High Court passed interim orders.

The Andhra Pradesh HC on Friday stayed the demolition of houses until November 15. The move comes after the villagers from Ippatam village of Tadepalli mandal in Guntur district submitted a petition to stall the project.
In the petition, the villagers said that their homes built 30-40 years back are being demolished for the project.

They also said that the government took up the work even before anyone asked for development work.
Hearing the petition, Justice Ravinath Tilhari told the administration to put the demolition on hold till November 21.
The bench also issued notices to principal secretary, municipal administration, municipal commissioner of Mangalagiri, Tadepalli municipal corporation and Ippatam gram panchayat secretary.
