Hyderabad: Southwest Monsoon, the low-pressure trough has reduced in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Only a few districts received rain on Tuesday. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said rains will occur in north Andhra districts, while light showers will occur in Rayalaseema.


Winds have been blowing from the southwest and west in the lower trope area of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. IMD predicts that AP, Telangana and Yanam are expected to receive light to moderate rains for the next two days.






Amaravati Met office said heavy rains would occur in Yanam on Wednesday and in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. Officials have warned people to be alert as there is a chance of rain with thunder and lightning at some places in these districts. On the flip side, while the flow of Godavari is decreasing gradually, normal conditions prevailed in some areas in East Godavari and West Godavari districts. Light showers will occur at one or two places in Godavari districts.





The effect of low pressure has reduced over Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra. Tirupati and Chittoor districts will likely receive heavy rains on Wednesday at midnight. According to AP Weatherman, light showers to moderate rains will occur at one or two places in Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts. Heavy rains are expected again at the end of this month.


Light rains will occur in Telangana for the next three days. The Hyderabad Met office has once again issued a yellow alert for the state from July 23. Officials said light showers would occur in Adilabad, Komaram Bhim Asifabad, Nirmal, Manchiryala, Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Karimnagar districts.
