The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall for Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana States for the next four days. IMD said that low pressure would form in the Bay of Bengal, and due to its effect, moderate rain is expected on Monday. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh may see severe rainfall for three days starting Tuesday, said IMD.


A surface circulation formed over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. Strong winds are blowing in the lower tropo enclosure.


Rains in Telangana


Light to moderate rains will occur in Telangana state on Monday. The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has said there would be moderate to heavy rains in Telangana for the next four days. A yellow alert has been issued in some districts due to the forecast of rain.


Regional Meteorological Centre (Hyderabad) has predicted heavy rains in Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanmakonda districts of Telangana state from September 20. Some districts are likely to experience thunder and lightning rains here and there.






Rains in Andhra Pradesh


The Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati) said moderate rains would occur in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam districts would receive moderate to heavy rains on Monday.


A warning has been issued for the possibility of thunderstorms. East Godavari and West Godavari districts will receive light showers to moderate rains at one or two places.
