Hyderabad: Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan claimed that the cultivation of marijuana is happening in full fledge in Andhra Pradesh. He further slammed the ruling government and the police department for not making attempts to seize it in the state.
Pawan Kalyan tweeted about the supply of narcotics in Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that the state- is bettered due to the surge of drug supply through drug lords. He also said that government officials are trying to hide the issue which would have a negative impact on the country.
He shared his experience on Twitter about his 2018 'Porata Yatra,' which he led on behalf of his political party. "During my 'Porata Yatra' in 2018, which was meant to understand the socio-economic issues of people in the state, I had received numerous complaints about health, unemployment, illegal mining, and also about ganja trade and its mafia in the tribal areas of Andhra-Odisha border," Pawan Kalyan took to his Twitter handle.

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan posted on Twitter that Nalgonda SP Ranganath had said that AP would become a cannabis hub. "AP has become a hub for narcotics and is packed with many drug lords at every level. It is clear from the words of Nalgonda SP Ranganath in Telangana that the government leaders are doing it on purpose,” Pawan Kalyan Tweeted. In addition, a video of Ranganath talking about growing concerns due to the surge in cannabis cultivation was posted on Twitter.
Pawan Kalyan referred to the comments made by Hyderabad City-Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on his social media platform that drugs are being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh to other parts of the country. He posted a video clip of Anjani Kumar detailing how cannabis is being smuggled from Andhra Pradesh.
