Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states are among the seven states categorised as top achievers in the ranking of states and Union Territories based on the implementation of the Business Reforms Action Plan 2020 according to a report released by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday.


Andhra Pradesh topped in first place with a score of 97.89 per cent. Gujarat was second with 97.77 per cent, followed by Tamil Nadu with 96.97 per cent and Telangana with 94.86 per cent.

The top achievers include AP, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Punjab, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. The Central government has announced the ranks for the states in four categories.


States categorised as achievers include Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. The aspirants' list includes Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, Kerala, Rajasthan and West Bengal. On the other hand, there are 11 states and Union Territories in the Emerging Business Ecosystems category. Among these, Delhi, Puducherry and Tripura have got a place.
