Hyderabad: A seminar on natural farming practices was held on Monday under the NITI Aayog. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the conference via video conference from the Thadepalli camp office.
Andhra Pradesh Government Cheif Secretary Sameer Sharma, Chief Minister Special CS KS Jawahar Reddy, Special Commissioner for Agriculture CH Hari Kiran and other senior officials were present.
Speaking on occasion, CM Jagan said that the AP government attaches great importance to the welfare of farmers. Methods and other equipment required for natural farming are being provided through Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) in the villages. The Chief Minister also opined that more research should be done on natural farming. CM Jagan suggested that the Center for Natural Agriculture should be funded in the ratio of 90:10.

Rajiv Kumar, Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog, hailed the Andhra Pradesh government's pro-farmer Rythu Bharosa Kendras project. He described RBKs' assistance to the rural community as commendable.
Nature farming is a critical innovation for is improving livelihood of our farmers, protecting the food and nutrition needs of our citizens, regenerating soil as well as enhancing the conservation of water, said Jagan.
