Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday reviewed the school education department at the CM camp office in TadepalliCM Jagan suggested conducting monthly audits of the amenities at schools renovated through 'Nadu Nedu' scheme. He said that The scope of the audit should also cover the utilization of the Maintenance Fund.


Regarding the distribution of 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' kits, the Chief Minister suggested that uniform tailoring charges should be paid to the students' mothers on the opening day of school session 2023-24. He also indicated that Parents' Committees be made active in school operations and that frequent meetings be scheduled to discuss school development. 


The Chief Minister stated that all schools should have internet access by March 2023 and that the first phase of classroom digitisation should be finished by then. All village secretariats, RBKs, and village clinics should have internet access in addition to schools, said Jagan.

In addition to smart TVs and interactive TVs, the government will purchase 5,18,740 tablets with pre-loaded Byju's content. According to the officials, 72,481 TV sets will be installed in classrooms over several phases at the cost of Rs 512 crores and the first stage of digitisation would be finished by March of next year.


CM Jagan reiterated that sanitation and drinking water quality should be brought under the purview of village clinics, which should send reports periodically. This would reduce to a large extent the ailments that arise due to poor sanitation and impure drinking water.  


Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma, School Education Commissioner S Suresh Kumar, School Education Special CS B Rajasekhar, School Infrastructure Commissioner K Bhaskar, Intermediate Education Commissioner MV Seshagiribabu, School Education Advisor A Murali and other officials were present in this review meeting.
