Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was on a one-day visit to Delhi, will return to the state on Wednesday. CM Jagan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi On Tuesday.


He later met several Union Ministers, including Nirmala Sitharaman. CM Jagan had a meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari at 9.15 am on Wednesday. Later at 9.30 am, the CM left Delhi for AP.


The CM will meet with Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan at 5.30 pm on Wednesday.


According to ABP Desam, CM Jagan will brief the governor on the upcoming cabinet reshuffle. With the ministers' resignations, it seems that he will submit the list of new ministers to the governor. CM Jagan will invite the governor for the swearing-in of the new AP cabinet ministers, which will is slated for April 11.

On Tuesday, Jagan discussed several issues with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi related to the Andhra Pradesh state, including the Polavaram project, Kadapa Steel Plant, rationality in coverage of beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act and arrears from Telangana discoms to the state.


During the meeting, the Chief Minister recommended that the Prime Minister approve the revised cost estimates for Polavaram of Rs 55,548.87 crore, as approved by the Technical Advisory Committee on February 11, 2019.


The project will cost Rs 31,118 crore, with Rs 8,590 crore going toward building and Rs 22,598 crore going toward restoration. He also asked the Prime Minister to clear the bills in their entirety, rather than component-wise, and release the R&R package funds to beneficiaries' accounts without delay.


CM Jagan also met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman. He said there was a considerable discrepancy in the funds given to fill the revenue gap and appealed for compensation of Rs 32,625.25 crore spent on implementing the 10th Pay Commission recommendations and programs in the form of pending bills.


The CM also discussed timely funding for the Polavaram project with the Union Finance Minister and approval of revised estimates.
