Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the production of ATC Tires Private Limited’s unit at APSEZ in Achutapuram of Anakapalli district on Tuesday. The compnay manufactures tyres for farming and mining purposes.
After the inauguration of ATC Tires Private Limited, CM Jagan said, "During these three years, 98 large and mega industries have come to the state. The industries have invested 39,350 crore and given jobs to 60,541 people. In the next two years, 56 mega industries will come up in the state. Through this, over one lakh people will get jobs. We are number one in the country in terms of ease of doing business."
ATC Tires comes under the Yokohama Group of Japan which invested Rs 2,200 crore for production and gave employment to nearly 2,000 people. The company has more than 100 years of history and is spread over 120 nations in six continents. In India, the company has manufacturing plants at Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu and in Gujarat.

Later, the Chief Minister participated in Bhoomi Pujan of eight industries, including Messrs Pidilite Industries, Megha Fruit Processing unit, Optimus Drug Limited and Win-Win Speciality Insulators.
Messrs Pidilite Industries Limited, an adhesive, industrial and construction chemicals materials manufacturer, has invested of Rs 202 crore and promised to offer 380 job opportunities for the people of the state. Megha Food Processing Private Limited unit, a manufacturer of carbonated fruit drinks, packaged drinking water and other products, has invested Rs 185.25 crore giving employment to 700 individuals.
Optimus Drugs Private Limited, a pharmaceutical company, has already set up manufacturing units in Hyderabad and Parawada and has invested Rs 125 crores. Winwin Specialty Insulators Limited, a company known for high-tech manufacturing voltage ceramic insulators and polymeric insulators, has invested around Rs 107.70 crores.
