Hyderabad: The northeast winds moving through Rayalaseema and the low altitude north winds blowing along the coastal areas are lowering temperatures in Andhra Pradesh.


Temperatures in various parts of the state would dip to 3-5 degrees in the next ten days, according to the Visakhapatnam Meteorological Department (VMD). The mercury dipped to 5.8 degrees at Chintapalli while the agency region of Visakhapatnam -- Araku valley -- recorded 9.6 degrees. Another near Visakhapatnam, Minumuluru has recorded 10 degrees.


The minimum temperature is expected to be about 10 degrees, especially in Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, and Rayalaseema's western regions.

The weather is likely to be dry for two days from today in the north coastal regions and Yanam. The Amravati Meteorological Department has forecast no rain in these areas for another three days. The temperature is 2 to 4 degrees Celsius lower than the average temperature. Cold winds are causing lower temperatures in the agency areas in Visakhapatnam district.


Mercury To Dip Further In Telangana


Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials said that there is a possibility of dry weather in Telangana. It was advised to be careful of heavy fog in Hyderabad and its surrounding regions. There is no rain forecast for Telangana anytime soon. But the temperature to drop by 5-10 degrees at the different places of the state.


IMD has issued Orange alert warnings to Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Siddipet and Warangal districts.
