Hyderabad: In a bid to provide better services to the people of the state, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan on Thursday launched the AP Seva Portal 2.0, an enhanced version of the Citizen Service Portal.


Speaking on the occasion, Jagan said that all the officials from village/ward secretariats to higher authorities, everyone will use the AP Seva Portal, a digitalised platform, to provide transparent services to the people.


The initiative will take the governance much closer to the people, he said, adding that even the remote villages can avail citizen services right from their doorstep, without having to run from pillar to post.


CM Jagan also stated that the general public will be able to track the status of their application easily. The applicants will also receive SMS alerts regarding the status of their applications and the portal will be equipped with payment gateways for accessing paid services.


With this portal, all the online services provided by various departments has been brought under one portal. This portal will enable the secretariat staff to know the progress of the applications in their area from time to time, said CM Jagan. Up to 90 per cent of the services received through the secretariats are linked to the new portal.


The Chief Minister further said that 135 services related to the departments of Revenue-CCLA, Urban Development, Civil Supplies, Rural Development and Electricity are connected to the new portal, and a 20-day trial run has been held for the same. CM Jagan added that the issues would be resolved and made fully available.
