New Delhi [India], June 22 (ANI): Former World No.1 Heena Sidhu of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) topped the charts for the selection trials 5 in the 10M Air Pistol Women category.

Sidhu scored 240.9 to top the charts.

Whereas, para-shooter Rubina Francis from Madhya Pradesh clinched a gold and silver medal in the senior and junior category of the 10M Air Pistol (IPC) Championship women, respectively.

The competition was held at the Dr. Karni Shooting Range in the 18th KSS Memorial Shooting Championship on Thursday.

Punjab's Harveen Sarao who won a bronze in the 10M Air Pistol event, couldn't catch up to Sidhu and eventually had to settle for the second spot with a score of 240.3.

Rahi Sarnobat, who won double gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games secured the third spot with a score of 217.7.

In the 10M Air Pistol (IPC) Championship event, Rubina missed her second gold and scored 549, the same as Pooja Agarwal who eventually clinched gold.

Maharashtra's Annaya Batra scored 525 and took home a bronze medal, scoring the third spot on the podium.

For the junior category, Rubina Francis' 549 score helped her receive the gold while Maharashtra's Batra annexed the silver with 525. The third spot was left vacant.

In the men's event of the 10M Air Rifle (IPC) Senior Championship, Haryana's Deepak clinched the gold while Rajasthan's Avani Lakhera took the silver medal. Delhi's Naresh Kumar Sharma clinched the bronze. (ANI)
