7 Largest Air Forces Of The World

Here are the world's seven largest air forces according to the World Directory of Modern Military Warships (wdmmw.org).

1. United States: They have a current active inventory of 5,189 aircraft. The fleet includes fighters, bombers, helicopters and tankers, among others.

2. Russia: They currently have 3,649 units in its active aircraft inventory. The force concentration includes 1,230 attack units, 1,932 support units, 487 training and 729 future units.

3. India: They have a current active inventory of 1,645 aircraft. Force Concentration - Attack: 632 units, Support: 709 units, Training: 304 units and Future: 689 units.

4. People's Liberation Army Air Force (China):: They boast an active inventory of 1,966 fleet units. Force Concentration - Attack: 1,335 units, Support: 370 units and Training: 261 units

5. Japan Air Self-Defence: With 779 Fleet Units in active inventory, their force concentration comprises 279 attack units, 165 support units, 335 training and 189 future units.

6. Israel: They have an active inventory of 581 fleet units. They have 251 attack units, 176 support units, 154 training units and 68 future units.

7. France: Boasting 501 fleet units in active service, the force concentration includes 192 attack units, 192 support units, 117 training units and 204 future units.
