Mumbai: Heavy Rain Slows Down Financial Capital



Roads, train tracks were waterlogged after heavy rain battered Mumbai all night.



The financial capital of India recorded more than 300 mm rainfall overnight.



The municipal corporation declared a holiday for schools and colleges, to not inconvenience students.



Local train services on the Central Railway routes were severely affected.



A heavy rush of commuters was seen at some of the key stations and in local trains.



In several areas like King's Circle and Kurla East, people were seen wading through waterlogged roads.



Waterlogging was reported in Worli, Buntara Bhavan in Kurla East, King's Circle, Dadar, and Vidyavihar Railway Station.



NDRF has deployed three regular teams at Andheri.



Heavy rain was forecast throughout the day on Monday, July 8.
