8 Effective Steps To Quit Smoking

Set a specific date to quit smoking.

Understand that you may not succeed on your first attempt, but with strong willpower, you will eventually overcome it.

Identify the times and habits associated with your smoking routine, such as after waking up or following meals, and make an effort to avoid smoking during these times.

Avoid carrying a pack of cigarettes with you. Only buy one when the craving is very intense.

If you do smoke, take just one puff and then throw the cigarette away instead of finishing it.

Place pictures of your loved ones in the areas where you usually smoke to remind you to quit for their sake.

Keep an empty jar on your desk and put in the equivalent amount of money for each cigarette you don't smoke. At the end of the week, use the money to reward yourself or a loved one.

Inform your friends and loved ones about your decision to quit so they can support you and avoid making negative comments if you struggle.

Remember, the benefits of quitting smoking begin the moment you stop, so it's never too late to quit.
