Abhijeet Bhattacharya said that the decision of actress Zaira Wasim leaving acting and Bollywood was influenced by Article 370. He added that such a statement has exposed her. On the other hand, ST Hasan said, "Jism ki numaaish karna allah ki nazar mein gunah hai. Aur agar Zaira ye gunah kar rahi thi toh unhone ye faisla lekar sahi kia". Zaira Wasim had made her acting debut with Aamir Khan's much-acclaimed 'Dangal' as Geeta Phogat, received rave reviews
