The exams were scheduled to take place today, September 2, on Sunday. However, after the Hindi paper of the test got leaked on Saturday, Lucknow District Magistrate informed that the papers have been postponed while the fresh dates will be announced soon. The new dates will be available on the official website - upsssc.gov.in.

In the latest update, UP Special Task Force has arrested 18 people in connection with the case. As per the report, Rs 15 Lakh cash along with mobile phones and other documents have been seized.

The notification on the official web portal also read, "The Written Examination of Tube -well Operator (Advt No 15(3)/2016) due on 02.09.2018 has been postponed."
