Rain and thundershowers occurred at most places with extremely heavy rains at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, the meteorological department said on Wednesday.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at few places over the state with southwest monsoon remaining active over west Uttar Pradesh and vigorous over the eastern part of the state.
Basta received extremely heavy rainfall at over 240 mm. Ayodhya and Mauha received very heavy rainfall.
