Sahil, a rich young man, falls in love with Vedika, an older woman who has a 15-year-old child. However, she rebukes his advances due to societal pressure. Sahil understood on Diwali how Vedika is his wife and hence he put vermilion on her head and tied mangalsutra around her neck.
