Sapna Chaoudhary got inducted into the BJP as a part of its nationwide membership drive, which was launched by Prime  Minister Narendra Modi from his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi. Sapna had earlier campaigned for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections 

Recently, Wrestler Babita Phogat and her father Mahavir Phogat joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Mahavir Phogat, a Dronacharya Awardee, had joined Ajay Chautala's Jannayak Janata Party, earlier this year.
