"In 2008, the total advances to people given by the banks were to the tune of Rs 18.06 lakh crores. By March 2014, the amount went up to Rs 52.15 lakh crores. The stressed assets identified out of this were only 36 percent...now it has risen to 82 percent due to advances given by the UPA govt," he added
