Rahul Gandhi to contest LS polls from Wayanad besides fighting from Amethi

After reports suggested that the Congress in Kerala has proposed AICC president Rahul Gandhi's name for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, party MLC Deepak Singh while talking to ABP News said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi will contest 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad constituency in Kerala besides fighting from Amethi seat in Uttar Pradesh.
Wayanad is a party bastion in the State. Congress, which is contesting 16 out of 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala, has announced the names of 14 candidates but has not declared its candidates from Wayanad and Vadakara.
