The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday gave a go ahead to the internal elections in the party. The party will elect a new president by October 2022.

In the CWC meeting that took place on Saturday, Congress leader and one of the prominent members of G-23, Ghulam Nabi Azad raised issues of poll preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, sources said.
