UP Elections 2022 | Why is CM Yogi contesting from Gorakhpur & not Ayodhya or Mathura?

The assembly elections in the country's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh, is set to take place. Today BJP has released its first list of 107 candidates. Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur city. On the other hand, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu seat of Prayagraj.
