Mahakumbh 2025: Akhada Parishad Withdraws from Dharma Sansad, Raising Concerns for Devki Nandan

ABP News Bureau   |  27 Jan 2025 11:15 AM (IST)

In a significant development, today's Mahakumbh event in Prayagraj has sparked considerable attention. Amit Shah is set to visit the Maha Kumbh and take a dip in the sacred confluence, while a Dharma Sansad (Religious Parliament) is also scheduled. The event, called by Kathavachak Devki Nandan Thakur, is expected to discuss the formation of a Sanatan Board, with several saints and religious leaders in attendance. However, the Akhada Parishad, which had initially shown great support for the event, has decided to distance itself. The unexpected decision came hours before the event, as Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri, who is connected to the Niranjani Akhada, expressed concerns about the high crowd expected due to Amit Shah's visit.
