West Bengal experienced the most critical assembly elections in 2021. Factors like NRC, CAA, and religious polarisation are expected to play a key role in results of the polls in the state. In the 2016 West Bengal Assembly Elections, Mamata Banerjee registered a thumping majority of  211 of the 294 seats while Congress-Left got 76 seats.
