Will the gap between 2 doses of Covishield increase to 12-16 week?

ABP News Bureau   |  13 May 2021 02:37 PM (IST)

In a latest update on the vaccination front, the gap between two doses of the Covishield Covid-19 vaccine can be increased to 12-16 weeks, as per the government panel suggestions.

However, the panel didn’t suggest any changes in dosage interval for Covaxin, the other vaccine approved in use in India at this time. The gap in case of Covaxin remains four to six weeks

The panel also suggested that pregnant women may be offered the choice to take any Covid-19 vaccine and that lactating women can be inoculated any time after giving birth.
