Why is IT raiding former NSE MD Chitra Ramkrishna's residence? EXPLAINED

In connection with a tax evasion investigation, the Income Tax Department raided the offices of former NSE managing director and chief executive officer Chitra Ramkrishna and group operating officer Anand Subramanian in Mumbai on Thursday. Ramkrishna was recently in the news following a Sebi ruling alleging that she was guided by a Himalayan yogi in the selection of Anand Subramanian as NSE's group operating officer and advisor to the managing director.
