UP Religious Conversion Network Exposed: Multiple Arrests Across States, Women Rescued
A massive religious conversion network spread across several Indian states has been uncovered, with shocking revelations surfacing almost daily. The case began with the arrest of Maulana Changur in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, where large-scale funding and organized conversion activities were revealed. This was followed by a similar bust in Agra, where Abdul Rehman and his family were running a conversion syndicate allegedly funded from abroad—Canada, USA, and Dubai. The latest case has emerged from Kushinagar, where a woman mastermind and three others were arrested for forcibly converting Hindu girls to Islam and allegedly preparing to push them into sex trafficking in Mumbai. Victims have told the police that they were brainwashed using radical videos and forced to practice Islamic rituals, including daily prayers. In Ghaziabad, a Crime Branch inspector was found aiding the network, further highlighting how deeply rooted the racket is. A woman from Rohtak, Haryana, rescued in the Agra case, revealed she was forced to marry and convert under pressure.Investigations are now being handled jointly by the UP ATS, local police, and intelligence agencies, as authorities believe this syndicate has a pan-India presence and is part of a larger conspiracy involving foreign funding and targeted radicalization.
