Tensions flared in Unnao following an FIR filed in Kanpur over a viral “I Love Mohammad” message. Members of the Muslim community took to the streets in a procession, where controversial slogans like “Sar Tan Se Juda” were allegedly raised. The provocative chants created a volatile atmosphere, prompting police to detain several youths. Amid this unrest, an old police encounter video resurfaced, showing the accused limping from a leg injury, with a station officer warning him not to smile — a moment that was caught on camera and is now viral. The video has sparked criticism, with some calling it overacting, while others mockingly compare UP police to Thai police. In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, a high-speed car crash left three people injured. CCTV footage showed that a car collided with a stationary pickup truck involved in pandal setup, causing serious damage.Meanwhile, in Chhindwara, Congress workers protested alleged vote fraud by burning an effigy, during which four police officers suffered burns while trying to stop it.In economic news, the new GST slabs — only 5% and 18% — have been implemented nationwide.
