Gopalganj bridge collapsed and it gave in post downpour and violent flow of flood-water. Post the incident, Bihar Chief Minister's good governance was questioned by the residents and the opposition parties.

Where Janata Dal United (JDU) leader Ajay Alok said that an inquiry had been ordered in the case, Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the PWD minister of Bihar, Nand Kishore Yadav, was corrupt. 

But the question here is why can't Indian bridges be built to bear the brunt of disasters?
