Amidst the ongoing tension with China at the LAC, India has also deployed the Multi Rocket Launcher System Pinaka and Smerch in Arunachal Pradesh. These two launchers, which fire 12 rockets in 44 seconds, have a range of 35 to 90 km. Pinaka is an indigenous system and Smerch is a Russian rocket launcher.
