Should states form probe committees in Pegasus spying case? | Debate

Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal has formed a probe committee in the Pegasus spying case. On similar lines, Congress has asked the Punjab government to form an investigative body too as the state shares borders with Pakistan. But should it be done? Should states form such committees?
