Sambhal Violence: Beware of Fraudsters, Donors Targeted in Sambhal Issue Social Media Scam

A three-member judicial inquiry commission has been formed by the Uttar Pradesh government to investigate the violence that occurred in Sambhal on November 24. The commission's team arrived in Moradabad on Saturday, and on Sunday, they will visit Sambhal. The commission will examine whether the violence was premeditated or part of a conspiracy, if the police's security arrangements were adequate, the reasons behind the violence, and the conditions that led to it. They will also look into measures that can be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future. Anjaney Kumar Singh, the Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad, mentioned that the commission will conduct its investigation and decide on the necessary actions. He further stated that the security arrangements had been made, and their next steps would be determined according to the commission's requirements. The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the commission to complete its investigation within two months from the notification date. The violence in Sambhal was triggered by a survey ordered by the court at the Shahi Jama Masjid in the Kot Garvi area, leading to four deaths and around 25 injuries, including that of police personnel. The commission, headed by retired Allahabad High Court Judge Devendra Kumar Arora, includes retired IAS officer Amit Mohan Prasad and retired IPS officer Arvind Kumar Jain. It will investigate whether the incident was spontaneous or a result of a planned conspiracy.
