Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked early Thursday morning at his residence, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. The assailant, who entered his home and attacked him, caused injuries, and Saif managed to reach the hospital in an auto. The police have now arrested the attacker, and new details have emerged following the interrogation.The suspect, identified as Mohammad Shehzad, is 30 years old and is believed to be from Bangladesh. He entered the house with the intention of committing theft. The police suspect that the attacker is Bangladeshi, as he did not have any Indian documents. In an attempt to conceal his identity, the accused had changed his name. Shehzad had been in Mumbai for the last 5-6 months, working as a housekeeper.In a startling revelation, the attacker initially claimed to be Hindu when questioned, but later admitted to being from Bangladesh. He further stated that he had no knowledge that it was Saif Ali Khan's house he had entered. His goal was to rob the place, and he carefully navigated the building, eventually reaching Saif's home.Witnesses confirmed that the police arrested the suspect at around 3 AM. The attacker was reportedly beaten by the police before being taken into custody.Saif Ali Khan suffered six stab wounds, with one knife shard piercing his spine, which led to surgery.
