Preparations underway to control floods by Sharda river

The river that enters Uttar Pradesh from Nepal is known as Sharda river in India. Its water is used for irrigation in agricultural fields but when it swells after rains it causes floods and devastation.

Temporary measures are being adopted to avoid the possibilities of floods this year as Farmers have to incur a great loss in such a situation.
