As many as 12,66,000 applicants applied for the written exam for 11,880 vacancies in Bihar police. The exam was scheduled to take place in Patna on 12 January. When applicants couldn't find way to enter the trains to Patna, they decided to travel on top of engine. The administration was not prepared for so many applicants and only half of them could appear in the exam.
