PM Modi on Budget Session: 'Main focus on economic issues'

Ahead of President Ram Nath Kovind’s address to the joint sitting of the Parliament, PM Modi addressed the media and said he is hoping for a “productive” session. “We want to empower and lift the poor, women and children and our efforts are in the same direction. We will ensure that our Budget is focused on finance and the empowerment of the poor. I hope the discussion will revolve around the same and it turns out to be productive,” he said.
