The session, which began on 14 September, was unique in many ways. The most important thing about the session was that it lasted for 10 consecutive days. In the history of Parliament, for the first time work was done on Sunday in the Lok Sabha, and on both Saturday and Sunday in the Rajya Sabha.
In the Lok Sabha, 60 hours of work was done in place of 38 hours. During this time a total of 25 bills were passed and 16 new bills were introduced.
