Pakistan Shaken by ‘Operation Sindoor’: India’s Surgical Strike Forces Pullback, Army Reveals Before DGMO-Level Talks

ABP News Bureau   |  12 May 2025 10:36 AM (IST)

Over 27 hours have passed since the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. On May 12, the DGMOs of both countries are scheduled to hold talks. Ahead of this meeting, the Indian Army held a press conference where top officials from the three armed forces shared key details about Operation Sindoor. The Army revealed that 35–40 Pakistani soldiers, including officers, were killed, and over 100 terrorists were eliminated. However, the Indian Army clarified the operation was against terrorists, not the Pakistani military, and one Indian soldier was martyred.India claimed the ceasefire applies only to the border, not the anti-terror operations, which will continue. India has also made it clear that there will be no talks at political, foreign minister, or NSA levels—only at the DGMO level. On social media, US President Donald Trump praised both nations and expressed willingness to mediate the Kashmir issue. India firmly rejected this, reiterating that Kashmir is its integral part and no third-party mediation will be accepted.India’s heavy retaliation, including airstrikes on terror camps in PoK and direct hits on Pakistan’s strategic military sites like the Noor Khan airbase, reportedly shocked Pakistan. Reports claim Pakistan feared for the safety of its nuclear assets, prompting it to seek US intervention. The US, concerned about potential nuclear conflict, pushed for de-escalation. PM Modi reportedly told US VP JD Vance that any further provocation by Pakistan would invite a more destructive response.
